It would cause some serious breathing problems in the infant. Clonazepam passes into the breast milk and breastfeeding would become too risky.

Klonopin comes under the category D medicine for pregnancy by the FDA. This medication is not advisable for the pregnant women. If you are taking Klonopin, later you become pregnant then you should have to inform your doctor before withdrawing it. Besides, Klonopin would cause you some severe withdrawal effects and if the pregnant women taking it for seizure then it would go out of control. This is the reason that withdrawal from this medication during pregnancy is not recommended.

If you really want to quit from taking Klonopin at the time of pregnancy, then you should have to consult with your doctor and follow the advised directions. Sudden withdrawal could cause some serious side effects. This would also affect the unborn baby.

Try not to miss a dose of Klonopin drug during your pregnancy. If you missed a dose of Klonopin and you should have to take it as soon as you remember it. If the time for next dose is near, then skip the missed dose as you should not take it, because it might become a double dose to compensate the missed one and it would become an overdose. It would cause addiction to the consumer.

If you have taken a double dose or an overdose, then you must immediately have to seek medical attention. The overdose of Klonopin medication would cause drowsiness, fainting, confusion, and muscle weakness. Hallucinations, unusual behavior, suicidal thoughts, worsening seizures, and agitation are the common side effects caused by the Klonopin. The less common side effects of Klonopin include dizziness, slurred speech, headache, drowsiness and weight changes.
